Venue and transportation

The conference is be held at the Aalto University campus in Otaniemi, Espoo.

The conference venue is about 9 km from Helsinki city center and 27 km from Helsinki airport, with good connections using public transportation. The airport is a popular transfer point between Europe and Asia, and it also offers many direct flights from the rest of the world.

Transportation

From Helsinki to Aalto University, Otaniemi

By public transportation: Use the HRT Journey Planner: Hotel Presidentti – Aalto University or Domus Academica – Aalto University to browse available connections. A single ticket costs 5.50 €.

By taxi: A taxi from Helsinki takes about 15–20 minutes and costs approximately 30 €. Taxis can be taken from the railway station, from numerous taxi ranks in city centre or booked via e.g. hotel reception.

From Helsinki Airport to Aalto University, Otaniemi

By public transportation: Use the HRT Journey Planner: Airport – Aalto University to browse available connections. A single ticket costs 5.50 €.

By Yellow Line Airport taxi (shuttle taxi): Yellow Line’s desk is at the arrival hall. The cost to Otaniemi campus is 29,50 € for 1–2 persons. (Please note that the shuttle taxi may take a longer time to reach the destination as you might share the taxi with other people going to the same direction.)

By normal taxi: Taxi stand is outside the main entrance of the arrival hall. The cost to Otaniemi campus is approximately 40 €. Trip takes about 30 mins.
